Aluminum Docks How Do I Build A Floating Dock Using 55 Gallon Drums?

How do I build a floating dock using 55 gallon drums? - aluminum docks

I want to build a floating dock 6x10 or 6x12 plastic barrels of 55 gallons. I am open to all ideas. Since the budget is the construction of this wood - not aluminum. My biggest problem is to solve the wooden cylinder with no holes in the plastic barrels.

Do not put the battery on the chassis: Bouncing in water pulls plants. 2x4 or four frames face to build something bigger each drum floats relationship between water and the floor of the indoor track. on the sides do you think of spreading
2 2x4 can choose between the two parties in touch long after the guns are under.
I told them, including through the suspension of the barrels with nylon fishing nets and / or chains, but is not as durable.
I hope that helps.

Good idea, wood is good for a framework treaty under pressure, of course. The easiest way is to put the barrels cut "chairs" in the rafters, is the curves of the arch with the curve of the barrel. It should not be at the bottom two inches in the deepest part of the curve will do if your deck goes over a pond or lake, be it a river, a deep curve, c 'is better. Construction of the frame (with lag screws) with nails on its head, the position of barrels, then "pipe lengths" to keep the barrels of the frame. Pipe Band will play a role perforated metal band, which is galvanized, it will be a few years in the water. You can buy at any hardware store. Attach the strap on the wooden frame on one side of the weapon by the barrel, then in the other direction. At least two straps per barrel. Get as close as possible. You can do this by using the left foot above the frame at the onset of the second bolt on the other side of the gorge. The screw will tighten the belt. You do not until you've initiated again at workMeetings of the envelope is the water in the vicinity. The water pressure against the gun remains. Seal screw caps with silicone caulk to dry and let dry. Hope this helps.

Woodwerk (ER) and Leo B have good ideas.
1. Most plastics can not do well in full sun.

2. Make sure a small hole in the tip of the cordless drill after it is constructed so that the air has stabilized.

3. In addition to that it is in the shade of plastic or reflective paint a picture ... I suggest silver or white glossy.
